Umm...You're like ridiculously fast for a sophomore its not even funny. Like I'm really really really impressed! Have you ran a sub 5 minute mile before?

thanks!! haha but no, not yet :( my best 1600 time before yesterday was a 5:14 (unless a 5:13 split counts) but i had THE perfect race and worked my butt off to run that 5:04!

i’m hoping for a sub-5 within the next year… i feel like i’ve tapered so much that a 5:04 is going to be my best until i start really training again. but, we’ll see! i’ve got states this weekend, and hopefully i’ll qualify for the next meet and run another PR!

i would just like to say that i saw without limits for the first time on thursday night, at a pasta party the night before my race, and it was the best movie ever. omg. and the next day, when i was running my 1600, i was like “you’ve gotta run 63s! all 12.5 laps!” even though i knew i was running a 16, not a 5k. i felt like a boss.

and also, after i heard my time, i tried to high-five a kid on my team, but half-missed his hand and accidentally slapped a random passerby in the face. whoooooops…

“What really knocks me out is a book that, when you’re all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn’t happen much, though.” ― J.D. Salinger.

I wish we said “fancy” in America. As in, “I fancy you.” It’s such a more agreeable term than “I have a crush on you.”  What’s a crush? Like, I AM A BOA CONSTRICTOR AND I AM GOING TO IMMOBILIZE YOU WITH MY MISPLACED AND OBSESSIVE AFFECTION.  “I fancy you” is like, you’re so shiny and glittery and I just want to put you on a shelf and look at you for a while ‘cause you’re fancy.

How old are you?

“I want to do something, right here, right now, to shame them, to make them accountable, to show the Capitol that whatever they do or force us to do there is a part of every tribute they can’t own. That Rue was more than a piece in their Games. And so am I.”
